MACROFEST 2018 Is Just Around the Corner!

¿Pueden creer que ya van diez años de Macrofest? El tiempo se pasa rapidísimo cuando uno se divierte así dicen…
Y es así como este 2018 la maquinaría de Physical vuelve al ruedo produciendo en serio uno de los festivales más queridos por los panameños y por qué no, los y las que nos visitan para disfrutar del veranito tan rico que ofrece Panamá.
Enfocado en la industria creativa en general, Macro siempre ha ofrecido una agenda super cool que incluye performances, desfiles de moda, presentaciones de danza e intervenciones artísticas en espacio tanto abiertos como cerrados; el Casco se convierte en una fiesta por donde quiera que lo veas, desde las galerías hasta los bares.

And this 2018 the machinery behind Physical Modelos comes back with another version of what is probably one of Panama’s favorite cultural festivals, and why not, visitor’s too who come to enjoy the lovely summer our country has to offer.
Focused on the creative industry in general, Macro has always offered a wide schedule full of the coolest performances, fashion shows, dance showcases and artistic interventions (out and indoors) that the city has to offer; with Macro Casco Antiguo wears itself as a massive party where art travels everywhere, from the galleries to the bars.
Apoyados por la Autoridad de Turismo de Panamá y por el Instituto Nacional de Cultura, el Macrofest se ha convertido en uno de los eventos de más relevancia para el primer trimestre panameño. “Así como son atractivos turísticos las playas, montañas, islas y senderos lo es también el arte en todas sus expresiones. Es una forma, igualmente, de dar a conocer la cultura e idiosincrasia de nuestro país”, expresó Gustavo Him, ministro de turismo.
Para esta edición nuevamente se estará ofreciendo un POP Up Gallery donde artistas visuales, diseñadores gráficos, animadores y productores de cortometrajes podrán aplicar para exhibir su creatividad, si estás interesado/a en postular tu propuesta creativa ingresa ya en www.macrofest.com para ingresar tu aplicación.
Vuelven también los Macrotalks por parte de personajes interesantes de la escena creativa local y tendrán lugar los próximos 12, 13 y 14 de marzo en el Salón San Francisco del Central Hotel entre 8AM y 1PM. Para el 17 y 18 de marzo en la plaza V Centenario también habrá una cartelera musical de artistas tanto locales como internaciones.
Supported by Panama’s Tourism Authority and the National Institute of Culture, Macrofest has become one of the leading cultural festivals in our country’s first trimester. “The same way beaches, mountains, islands and natural trails are main attractions for tourists every single artistic expression should be considered too,” expressed Gustavo Him, Minister of Tourism.
For this year there’s also going to be a POP UP Gallery where visual artists, graphic designers and film producers can apply to exhibit their creations. If you are really interested just send your submission through www.macrofest.com
Macrotalks are also back. These forums have interesting people who have helped the creative industry as key speakers and are gonna take place March 12, 13 and 14 at the Salon San Francisco inside the Central Hotel between 8AM and 1PM. March 17th and 18th are gonna be alive with the sound of music thanks to a schedule full of local and international musicians.
Van a haber tantas cosas que ver y experimentar en Casco en casi un mes que no nos podemos dar el lujo de perdernos nada. Ve agendando desde ya los días porque Macro espera por ti ;)
There are gonna be so many cool things to see and experience in Casco in less than a month that you’re gonna have to set up those dates for me time because Macro is gonna be waiting for you babe ;)
